Vendiagram – Tupaia & Iris and the dogstar

On friday last week I started a vendiagram about Tupaia the navigator and Iris and the dogstar. A vendiagram is when you draw two cirles next to eachother to make a gap in the middle, once you done that you write the names of the people/books your doing the vendiagram ontop of each circle, In the gap you write their similaritys and in the two circles you write their diffrences. Here is mine.

Have you read either of these stories? Let me know in the comments.

  1. Talofa Lava Foki, I have heard about Tupaia a lot this year, but I don’t think I have heard the story about Iris and the Dogstar, unless Dogstar is a boat. I can see from your diagram Iris and the Dogstar is a more recent story as they use GPS and Eprib. Both great devices to help rescue and locate people who could be in danger. What do you think happened when traditional travellers got lost or their boat capsized? (horrible to think about, especially without life jackets). What did you find tricky when comparing the two stories?
